REFRACTIVE SURGERY: Surgery whose goal is to eliminate or decrease dependence on glasses or contact lenses. Can be done as LASIK( laser) or clear lens exchange. The decision to have these procedures requires detailed discussion with an ophthalmologist.
BOTOX: Used for both cosmetic and functional reasons Botox is used to decrease muscle action which is causing facial wrinkles or eyelid closure. It is injected in the muscles as an office procedure. It needs to be repeated every 4 to 6 months. It is especially used for facial tics especially around the eyes.
IN OFFICE LASER SURGERY: Various conditions such as glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy are treated in our office.
CORRECTION OF ASTIGMATISM: A painless procedure called LRI can be performed in the office to reduce astigmatism ( a condition where the surface of the eye is oval shaped rather than circular. Astigmatism may be present from childhood or can be the result of previous eye surgery.
